Mercia School is a 1200 place secondary school. A surprising discovery behind a screen of trees, the striking school is winner of the RIBA Yorkshire Award 2019.
The design is inspired by its site and via a simple palette of materials it sits harmoniously within the parkland setting. Through sustainable design principles and renewable energy, it has achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
You can find out more about the project here: https://bondbryan.co.uk/project/merciaschool/
The session will be recorded and made available on our website free of charge after the event.
We hope this method of visiting local architecture will be more accessible to more people.
