THE WINNING & COMMENDED PROJECTS OF THE   

2022 Sheffield Design Awards!

 

This season’s Awards cycle culminated with the presentation of awards to all the winners and those commended, at a ceremony held on 10th November at Site Gallery. The hugely successful evening saw the presentation of 14 awards in front of a diverse audience of over a hundred delegates from the building, public arts
and development sectors of Sheffield.

Special guests and speakers included the Lord Mayor, Sioned-Mair Richards and the Lady Mayoress Jackie Satur as well as the representative of the Master Cutler, and himself a past Master Cutler, Kenneth Cooke, and SDA Patron, Corin Mellor, of David Mellor Designs, a designer of international repute.

Of particular interest were the awards for Outstanding Project of 2022 which went to Destination Longshaw, the Longshaw House development project led for the National Trust by Studio Gedye; The People’s Choice competition organised in the Sheffield Star which went to Engineering Heartspace designed by Bond Bryan Architects for the University of Sheffield, and the Lifetime Achievement Award which went to the Sheffield Winter Garden designed by Pringle Richards Sharratt.
