This seminar looks at flood events and consequences for new and existing structures.  It will help you to understand the following topics -

 

- Understand the different types of flooding events, what types of flood protection are available and how to select the appropriate flood protection solution for a particular scheme

- Understand design considerations around flood risk areas and how to design in flood resilience and protective solutions at the beginning of a scheme

- Understand flood risk assessments and the relevant requirements - Understand the relevant documents and standards appropriate to flood prevention
