The SDA2018 Conservation Award winner Long Barn is first of the family units to be completed as part of the Open House Project which is a self-supportive co-housing community. Repairing and renovating the Barnes Hall Farm the Long Barn it starting in 2011 and is a collaborative design with CECA Studio supporting and curating the process. “It aims to create a community that is largely self-sufficient in terms of energy, but also offers a range of accessible and useful facilities”.
